Oh, wait a moment… (She glances down toward her feet for a moment, bending down to pet whatever it is before getting up and is in view once again. This time, she has an added penguin Pokemon on her shoulder, but her expression’s quite sheepish.)

Another reason I know I’m not dreaming? This little one! He wasn’t here before, or maybe he was and I got pulled here? Anyway, if anyone’s heard of someone named Madoka or Tomoe-san…let them know Sayaka’s here? Also, finding out why we’re here would be a big help too; not sure if I can trust anything a professor or someone who says she's my mom says yet. Huh? Wait a second-!

(The Pokemon from earlier? Suddenly jumps right off Sayaka’s shoulder in search of nearby food and a flock of Pidgeys fly behind her a few seconds later!)

[Like Mami had been trying to find Sayaka, when she first popped over here. She'd been so worried... She didn't quite understand it, but she'd known Sayaka was wasting away, out of her reach.

Yep! Well, except for figuring out this little guy; I named him Squire, but he's not helping me out that much...

(And a sudden BubbleBeam attack is shot offscreen which hits one of the Pidgeys in the air.)

[Fine- Yes, she looks it, doesn't she? No reason to bombard her with questions, not now. Without soul gems or witches, there's no chance of magic running out right now!]

[She gives a small chuckle at the Piplup commentary, sounding almost relieved to be laughing.]

Well, he's doing what he should- Pokemon are the fighters here, and we just guide them. Apparently that's what we're here for.

(She blinks repeatedly, staring at Squire as he points to one of her Pokeballs with a flipper; picking it up, she tosses it offscreen and Mami will notice Sayaka partially paying attention while also watching the Pokeball wiggle and securely catch the previously mentioned Pidgey.)

...Wow! So, we're here to help them get stronger so they'll protect people?

That's right- We teach them how to fight, and tell them what moves to use in battle. There's gyms where you challenge specialists, and I've heard something of tournaments.

[But she has yet to challenge one herself, and she's never seen a Pokemon like Squire, leading the trainer like that!]

I haven't tried to catch any, but I've hatched four, along with my starter, Sara. They come from eggs, actually.

[And one of her hatchlings - the Swablu - has flitted up onto her shoulder at some point, but only now peeps up to the screen to say hello.

And Mami puts her hand on the little head, still too focused on Sayaka for more than random insights and acknowledgements. This is...]

Definitely- I'll definitely come meet you. Kaname-san and I can double back to Pallet, and you can take the boat there if you want, or we can come over to you, but. If you want.

[And she's trying very hard to sound confident, not desperate, but. Last time they talked- Last time, Sayaka said... But no, she was happy. This isn't the strained girl from before, pushing her away, saying she'd let her down.]

(Sayaka allows Squire to clamber up onto her shoulder, contemplating what she should do next. Obviously meeting up with Mami and Madoka was high on her list.)

Hmm...I guess I could meet up with you guys! Wouldn't want you to double back that far just for me~

(If only Mami knew...Sayaka didn't remember much about that, or what had happened...the only thing she was certain about was that Madoka had saved her.)

Nonsense- I'd cross the whole of Johto and Kanto, for my old partner!

[And she means it- Even if that isn't very measurable for you yet, Sayaka. But right now? She hadn't felt this good since Madoka first suggested she might not be fighting alone anymore! Both the girls, back at her side. It was easily what she'd been hoping for!
